Job Description
Position Purpose:
The R&D/ Category Assistant will support the team in developing and optimizing products within one of the three main groups: Ready-to-Eat, Counter Food, or Proprietary Beverage programs in the 7-Eleven Viet Nam convenience store system. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, quality control, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches that align with 7-Eleven’s high standards.
Primary job duties:

Product Development Support:

Assist in the research and development of new products, contributing ideas and supporting the ideation process.

Participate in product testing, sampling, and gathering feedback from internal teams.

Help with data collection, ingredient sourcing, and market research to support product innovation.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Coordinate with suppliers, partners, and internal departments to facilitate product development and ensure smooth communication.

Assist in organizing meetings, preparing presentations, and documenting discussions related to product development projects.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Support quality assurance by assisting in product testing and maintaining records of results.

Help ensure that products comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain organized and accurate records of project activities, product specifications, and testing results.

Prepare basic reports and summaries for the R&D team and management.
Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or currently pursuing a degree in Food, QA/QC, Culinary, or a related field.

Passion for food, beverages, and innovation in the F&B industry.

Basic knowledge of food safety, product development, or culinary techniques is a plus but not required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Good communication skills, with basic proficiency in spoken and written English encouraged.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
